Meals here are served family-style in a wooden two-story boarding house full of old West atmosphere. Old-time Basques still reside at the star and a bell calls them down for dinner every night.  Patrons sit side-by-side at long tables draped with red and white checked tablecloths to enjoy traditional Basque fare such as sweetbreads, tongue and "bacalao" (a salty fish dish) as well as less exotic entrées like marinated beef, steak and lamb.  For a real taste of Elko, try their Steak Sandwich for lunch.  Don’t forget the Picon.
